The biggest castle in the Algarve is in Silves, near the Arade River, and is considered the most beautiful example of military architecture in Portugal. 2. Observe the sunset from the São Vicente Cape
The graceful landscape is just one of the reasons that make the São Vicente, Cape so unique, but also the lighthouse (the first light seen from the ones that came from the Atlantic Ocean) or the fact that is the Europe southwest point, and the greatest sunset that gather a lot of people to watch the moment the sun dive into the ocean.
3. Watch Algarve from the top of Monchique Mountain
The highest point, Fóia, is 902m high, which makes the Monchique Mountain the uppermost observation point in the Algarve. There is an important boiling spring in Caldas de Monchique, that you can enjoy, as well as the soft weather. Take a walk and delight with the view from the mountain.
4. Wander in Pedralva Village
Located in Vila do Bispo, near the Natural Park of Costa Vicentina, this village was abandoned until 2009, when turned into rural tourism. The houses were refurbished as well as the rest of the village, and the project kept the traditional layout which turns it in such a magical place to visit during your Algarve Holidays.
5. Magnificent boat trip to Benagil sea caves
In Lagoa, between Marinha beach and the small Benagil village, there are amazing sea caves that are only accessible by boat.
